The Waterloo Black Hawks will hold their annual awards presentation and celebration of the 2014/15 season on Sunday, March 29th at McElroy Auditorium in Waterloo from 4-6 p.m.
All fans are invited to attend. Season ticket holders will be admitted for free, while tickets are $10 for all others. In addition to the program, fans will receive complimentary appetizers and be able to partake in a cash bar.
“Our goal is to have a great turnout for this year’s awards ceremony, so we certainly hope all season ticket holders will take advantage of this offer,” said Black Hawks Vice President Mike Falk. “I would like to thank McElroy Auditorium for helping us to host this event.”
Each year during the closing weeks of the regular season, the Black Hawks conduct an awards ceremony. Players recognize their peers with several awards including Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, and many other honors. This is the first year that the event has included complimentary admission for season ticket holders, who are asked to RSVP at the Young Arena renewal table on game nights or at the Black Hawks’ front office during the week.
McElroy Auditorium is located in the National Cattle Congress complex at 250 Ansborough Avenue. The original home of the Black Hawks, Waterloo hockey was played at the facility for more than 30 years from 1962 through 1994.
