Star Struck in Party Town

Bachelor Chris Soules at Young Arena February 6th

Iowa’s most eligible bachelor farmer will be on hand when the Waterloo Black Hawks host the Madison Capitols at Young Arena on Saturday, February 6th at 7:05 p.m.

Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to meet Chris Soules, star of ABC’s romance reality series The Bachelor, who will be the Black Hawks’ special guest presented by Simply “I Do” of Cedar Falls.

“Join me, and support the Waterloo Black Hawks in Party Town on February 6th,” Soules appealed.

Fans have two options to meet Soules during the game.  The “Bachelor Package” is available for $25 and includes a photo with the man whom Today Show pop culture writer Chris Serico called the “ultimate Nice Guy,” as well as entry into a meet-and-greet reception and a white zone game ticket.  Season ticket holders who already have their game ticket are invited to enjoy the “Bachelor Package” for $10.

The second alternative is the “Bachelor Pad Package.”  During the game, the Hawks’ Budweiser Hospitality Suite will be converted into “The Bachelor Pad,” where an exclusive group of fans will have the opportunity to watch the game with Chris.  In addition to having their photo taken with Soules, Bachelor Pad guests will also receive a long-stem rose, a beverage voucher, and popcorn.  The “Bachelor Pad Package” will be offered for $35, or $25 for season ticket holders.  Only limited quantities of each option will be sold.

Soules starred on Season 19 of The Bachelor.  The 34-year-old was raised near the northeast Iowa community of Lamont.  He still lives in the area and farms corn and soybeans on 5,500 acres.  A former heavy-weight high school wrestler and junior college football player, Soules graduated from Starmont High School in 2000 and Iowa State University in 2004.
