Hawks Hold Season Celebration

Join the Team at McElroy Auditorium April 3rd – 3 p.m.

The Waterloo Black Hawks will present team awards and invite fans to rally behind the club on Sunday, April 3rd during an event kicking off the final week of the United States Hockey League regular season and counting down to the Clark Cup Playoffs at McElroy Auditorium in Waterloo.

All fans are encouraged to join in the festivities.  Season ticket holders will be admitted for free, while tickets are $10 for all others.  In addition to the awards presentation and program, fans will enjoy complimentary appetizers, with a cash bar available.

“Last season, we had a similar event and we have received a lot of positive feedback” said Black Hawks Vice President of Sales and Marketing Joe Greene.  “We have been looking forward to being back at McElroy again and are excited about making this season’s festivities bigger and better as everyone gets into a playoff mindset.”

Many of the awards to be presented provide players with the opportunity to recognize their peers with titles including Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, and other honors.  Last year was the first time the event had included complimentary admission for season ticket holders.  Those planning to attend are asked to RSVP at Young Arena on game nights or at the Black Hawks’ front office during the week.

McElroy Auditorium is located in the National Cattle Congress complex at 250 Ansborough Avenue.  It was the original home of the Black Hawks, for more than 30 years from 1962 through 1994.
