Salute to Veterans on Friday

The Black Hawks and 97.7, KCRR THE Classic Rock Station, will honor our nation’s bravest Friday night when the Sioux City Musketeers come to Party Town on Veteran’s Day.  All veterans and active duty military personnel will receive a free ticket by showing their military or retired military id at the Domino’s Black Hawks Box Office.

Here are some other special events and offers for Friday:

• Families of military personnel will receive discounted tickets at the following rates: Goal Zone – $8, Attack Zone – $10, Center Zone – $11, Glass Zone – $15.
• Prior to the game, members of the Iowa National Guard 133rd Infantry Ironman Battalion will serve in a color guard during The Star Spangled Banner, while a giant American flag is unfurled on the ice.
• Sullivan-Hartogh-Davis Post 730 Honor Flight will conduct a 50/50 fundraising raffle throughout the evening.
• Fahr Beverage and Budweiser will quadruple their donation to Folds of Honor to $100 for each Black Hawks goal during the game.
• New recruits will be inducted into the United States Army at intermission.

The Black Hawks will also be wearing 1927 replica jerseys presented by American Pattern, commemorating Waterloo’s Becker-Chapman American Legion Post team which first took the ice 90 years ago this winter.  The jerseys will be auctioned on Thanksgiving, with profits benefitting Americans for Independent Living.
