Anderson joined the Black Hawks’ coaching staff for the 2015/16 campaign.
A Waterloo native who grew up playing youth hockey in the community, Anderson was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2000 Midwest High School Hockey League Tournament. From there, he went on to spend the next three years playing junior hockey, including one season apiece with the USHL’s Rochester Mustangs and Des Moines Buccaneers.
In the fall of 2003, Anderson enrolled at Ohio State University and helped the Buckeyes to that season’s CCHA Championship. After graduating in 2007, he appeared with the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL.
His degree is in Business Administration/Finance, and after completing his playing career, Anderson worked as an investment analyst in Chicago.
